General Motors (GM) manufactures and sells vehicles worldwide. In Europe, GM operates 11 vehicle production and assembly facilities in eight countries. Additionally, there are more than 8,000 independent sales and service outlets for GM vehicles and products throughout Europe.

The General Motors Europe (GM E) collection of standards covers materials and testing related to the manufacture, repair, and use of General Motors parts, components, and vehicles in Europe. These collections of standards provide information to manufacturers, service departments, and suppliers so that they can better serve their customers and do business more efficiently with companies involved in the repair, and manufacture of GM vehicles in Europe. English translations are available for many of the GM E standards.
